Full Mouth Rehabilitation
Full Mouth Rehabilitation
Full mouth rehabilitation also known as full mouth reconstruction involves restoring or rebuilding teeth in both upper and lower jaws simultaneously.
This may involve one or more of the following procedures like crowns, bridges, implants, filings, extractions, gum reshaping and braces or orthodontic treatment to name a few.
Full mouth rehabilitation can be considered in any of the following scenarios:
- Loss of Teeth due to decay or trauma.
- Injured or fractured teeth.
- Severely worn down teeth as a result of long-term acid erosion (foods, beverages, acid reflux) or teeth grinding.
- Ongoing complaints of jaw, muscle and headache pain requiring adjustments to the bite (occlusion).
First, a comprehensive exam will be performed by your dentist to determine the extent of the problem and treatment required .
